We are a grassroots-level not-for-profit organization serving parts of rural West Bengal, India, supported by local and remote volunteers and the generosity of individual sponsors and partner organizations such as Rotary Club. What sets up apart from the big NGOs, is that we are heavily volunteer-driven and do not splurge on marketing and advertising ourselves - which all of your donation will go into service, minus administrative cost. Also, you can claim upto 50% of your donation to Sondhi towards tax deduction under Section 80G of Income Tax Act.

Our journey began in March 2020, a group of like-minded acquaintances came together and formed a non-governmental organization (NGO) under the official name "Canning Sondhi". The word "Sondhi" (সন্ধি in Bengali)  means joining or coming together. It truly encompasses our dream of a world where we come together from all walks of life and share a collective social responsibility to alleviate generational poverty and empowering the poor to solve the basic concerns with dignity.  

Our mission is to drive socioeconomic development in underprivileged communities through education and holistic guidance and empower them to achieve self-reliance and well-being.
